This is the first time the Japanese tech giant will show off a new lineup of games coming to the PS5, Sony’s next-generation game console. Till now Sony has revealed a logo for the console, a new wireless controller for its next-gen console, and the PS5 gamepad. But still, Sony is not expected to reveal every detail of the PS5 console itself, and hopefully, this will change at the June 4th event.

According to Jim Ryan who is the president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, “This is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you.”

In the upcoming event, Sony isn’t ready to give any further details on the games lineup. But according to Sony, there will be games from large and small studios featuring in the event. Recently, Epic Games had shown what the upcoming console can do, when they had run unreal Engine 5 demo on the next-gen console.

The PS5 will come with a custom eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU clocked at 3.5GHz and it also features a custom GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture hardware that promises 10.28 teraflops and 36 compute units clocked at 2.23GHz.It will also have 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and a custom 825GB SSD. The PS5 will also feature 4K Blu-ray drive and will still support discs, but those games will still require installation to the internal SSD.
