Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is taking another break from YouTube. The 31-year-old entertainer revealed the reason for taking another brief hiatus to viewers, and it is quite relatable.
PewDiePie uploaded a new video every day to his channel for about a decade after joining YouTube in 2010. In Jan. 2020, he took a well-deserved break.
In his latest upload, he revealed that he is taking another break this month. He even revealed the hilarious reason for taking a hiatus from making content.
The Swedish YouTuber had already hinted at taking a summer vacation this year. During his June 7 video, Pewds explained why he would be taking a week-long break from making content.
“I’m leaving when the new Minecraft update comes out that I’ve been waiting for, for months,” he said, referencing the Mojang game’s large expansion “Caves & Cliffs update,” which is slated to go live on June 8, 2021.
Although he announced that he would be taking a break to play the hotly anticipated Minecraft release, PewDiePie didn’t confirm whether he would stream his gameplay sessions live for viewers, Dexerto reported.
However, the Swede hint at upcoming uploads to his channel with the footage. “Don’t watch anyone else do the Minecraft update, because I have…” he teased.
The Caves & Cliffs Minecraft update will be released on June 8, 2021. According to the YouTuber’s May 28 video, he will take a week off from making content so that he can play the expansion.
“And then between the 7th and the 13th, I will be away as well just so you know. I get summer holiday this year, so does Sive,” he said. He is expected to return on June 13, or slightly later.
