My Hero Academia Izuku Midoriya

My Hero Academia cosplayer Lorentz iWood brought Izuku Midoriya (a.k.a. Deku) from the hit Japanese superhero manga series to life, showing off casual, as well as hero looks for the beloved character.

My Hero Academia has been an unlimited source of inspiration when it comes to cosplay. The show, which began in 2016, has been adapted from a previously published manga and has gone on to garner huge popularity among fans. The anime features a slew of distinct characters with unique abilities dubbed, “Quirks.”

The Quirks determine what abilities certain characters have, and is usually embedded into aspects of their personality and aesthetic. It is worth noting that Izuku Midoriya did not originally have a Quirk, and was bullied. His lack of ability did not stop him from aspiring to be a professional hero.

Cosplayer Lorentz iWood showed off his amazing take on Izuku’s iconic look on Instagram, creating an array of different looks for the fan-favorite character. As part of Deku’s hero look, Lorentz donned his green paneled jumpsuit with slightly darker green strips running down the arms and on the torso in geometric formations.

The tops of the green boots are visible over his knees, and they perfectly contrast the red utility belt and white gloves. This is complemented by shaggy green hair and a lightly freckled face. Referencing a viral meme that commenters under the cosplay simply loved, he completed the look with a can of Twisted Tea.

Aside from that, he showed off a more casual look, sporting a bold red hoodie and ripped jeans. Captured by Richard Arcel, the photos are stunning and perfectly showcase the costume along with the bright-colored backdrops.

The cosplayer has put a lot of hard work into Izuku, and as a result, he looks like the real version of the popular character.
