Mia Khalifa has come forward to lend a helping hand in a bid to support Lebanon after an explosion rattled its capital and largest city, Beirut.
The explosion left behind destroyed buildings, hundreds of people injured and claimed thousands of lives. The 27-year-old Beirut born Internet personality, who was briefly associated with the adult industry, has put up her “infamous” glasses for auction on eBay auction.
In the description section of the product, the Lebanese-American describes the eyewear as “used and abused.” Shortly after the online bidding kicked-off, Mia’s glasses have garnered 189 bids. The current bid stands at $100,000.00, which converts roughly to about 74,90, 075 INR.
The auction, which was originally created to help the Lebanese Red Cross, has a description that reads:
“THE INFAMOUS MIA KHALIFA GLASSES, THE OG’S!! – AUCTION TO 100% BENEFIT LEBANESE RED CROSS.”
“LET’S RAISE SOME MONEY TO BENEFIT LEBANON’S MOST VALUABLE ASSET AT THIS TIME OF CRISIS, THE LEBANESE RED CROSS.”
Mia, who sported the glasses during her short stint in the adult film industry said she’d even sign them if the winner wants her to and take one last polaroid wearing them before sending them off to the buyer, according to her eBay listing.
Lebanon’s prime minister Hassan Diab announced his cabinet’s resignation earlier this week, in the wake of outrage over a devastating explosion in Beirut. “Today I announce the resignation of this government,” said in a national TV address, before concluding the interview saying, “May God protect Lebanon.”
