Lilypichu slams Twitch fans who claim Pokimane, Amouranth and other female Twitch creators get views only from ‘simps’

Lily “Lilypichu” Ki is all set to go toe-to-toe with those who claim that Pokimane, Amouranth, and other Twitch creators like them are only popular because “simps” like to watch their content and videos.

On July 4, Stream Charts, which is known for providing Twitch streaming analytics, revealed the most-watched female Twitch streamers for June 28 to July 4, via a tweet. The top stars included LuluLuvely, Jinny, Pokimane, and others.

Controversial streamer Amouranth topped the charts. She has been making headlines over the past few months for being a part of the infamous hot tub and ASMR metas. According to the Twitch streaming stats, Amouranth has an impressive watch hour of 987k, which is 507k more than Pokimane.

However, some Twitch fans claim that only “simps” have been tuning in to watch them stream. While others pointed out that these top stars are where they are today only due to that alleged boost. However, popular Twitch streamer Lilypichu strongly disagrees, per Dexerto.

The OfflineTV star clapped back at fans making these claims, calling them “totally wrong.” A considerable number of Twitch fans believe that Twitch stars like Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, and Llanos had earned their place at the top, while women are lifted beyond their deserved stardom by simps. They accused these female Twitch streamers of not being “entertaining enough” otherwise.

“That’s just not true,” Lilypichu responded. “There are plenty of entertaining women on Twitch, it’s just easier for people to believe the “simp” narrative,” she added.

“What’s your definition of simp? Someone who’s a super fan, right? Who is maybe obsessive? Donates? What makes you think top male streamers don’t have that? That description can easily fit both genders… I have a problem with the fact people overuse the word to generalize a girl’s audience.

“The percentage of women streamers who do what you think they do is a lot lower than you think, why would you generalize all women streamers?”

“You said almost all the [other female streamers] get most of their viewers from these ‘simps,’ so who is almost all the others?” the Offline star continued, before rattling off a lengthy list of Twitch stars she believes have fully earned their place at the top.

In her list, Lilypichu included streamers like pqueen, Annie Fuchsia, Jinnytty, itsHafu, saddummy, and Pokimane. She then went on to praise Amouranth, who recently admitted that she was trying to turn Twitch viewers into profits.

“If I were that hot,” Lilypichu said, “maybe I’d do the same. No need to bring anyone down, there’s more than enough negativity in the world as is!”
