GTA 6: Gamers all across the world have been desperately waiting for Rockstar Games to unveil the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. While Rockstar has been silent, plenty of leaks have surfaced, including what could be a new map of Vice City.
However, those were just assumptions. No official announcements were made. But now, an insider has spoken about the upcoming installment.
On Twitter, Foxygames wrote that Sony and Rockstar will have some news about the next game including a “GTA VI partnership/deal” after the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online Enhanced Edition. they further added that it’s a big deal.

The reference to a partnership or deal is likely a call back to an earlier rumor that Dexerto reported back in August. The rumor claimed that Sony reached out to Rockstar to make GTA 6 a timed exclusive on PS5 in a $750M agreement.
Foxygames wrote another tweet saying that Rockstar is doing some impressive things with PS5’s ultra-fast solid-state drive that players wouldn’t believe.
While that news remains to be verified, it does make sense for Rockstar and Sony to only push GTA 6 once the new versions of GTA V and Online are out on next-gen hardware.
The enhanced version of GTA V is scheduled to be released in 2021 with Online being free to play and exclusive to PS5 for the first three months. As for now, fans will have to wait for the official announcement by Rockstar Games.
