Google Store Marks Company Birthday With 22% Off On Select Items

Google Play Store 22 years

Google was originally incorporated on Sept. 4, 1998, but the company has been marking that occasion on Sept. 27. Like last year, Google Stores worldwide is celebrating the 22nd birthday by doling out unmissable discounts and a slew of other equally appealing offers.

For Europe, the company is offering a more straightforward 22 percent birthday discount on select items. To avail of the discount, all you need to do is to apply coupon code GOOGLEBDAY22 at the time of checking out. These items are excluded: Nest Aware, Pixelbook Go, Pixel Buds, and Pixel 4a (in the UK).

It does not apply to the Nest Cam Indoor, Nest Cam Outdoor, Nest Cam IQ, Nest Protect, Stadia Premiere Edition, Nest Mini, Nest Hub, Chromecast, Wifi, Nest, and Nest Hub Max. A myriad of similar deals is up for grabs in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

This offer will be valid until Sept. 27, 11:59 PM BST. It doesn’t seem to be available in Portugal.

In Austria, you can “get 22% Google Store credit when you buy a Nest Wifi, Nest Mini, Nest Hub Max, Nest Hub, Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, or Google Home.” The prices of these smart home products are otherwise unchanged, and the deal is slated to end on Sept. 28 at 11:59 pm AEST.

Customers will be notified via email when the Google Store credit is added to their account, about three weeks from the order shipment date. This offer is available in Japan as well. Meanwhile, the following Asian countries will be eligible for direct discounts:

In Taiwan, 22 percent off applies to the Nest Mini and Chromecast
In Singapore, there is a 22 percent discount on the Nest Mini, Nest Wifi, Nest Hub, Chromecast. In South Korea, the Nest Hub and Home Mini get a 20 percent discount

There are no offers available in some Asia Pacific Google Stores including Thailand, New Zealand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and Hong Kong. Moreover, these deals are usually unavailable in the U.S., which had its own month of deals this summer.
