Elon Musk Fed Up With Jeff Bezos Suing SpaceX’s Projects, Slams Biden’s Administration

During the 2021 Code Conference, SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk had commented on his business rival Jeff Bezos and the U.S. President Joe Biden.

What is Code Conference?

The Code Conference is an annual invitation-only panel discussion where entrepreneurs come together for in-depth conversations.

Here, Kara Swisher who is known as “Silicon Valley’s most powerful tech journalist” conducts unscripted Red Chair interviews with the power players of tech. Code 2021 is held in Beverly Hills, California.

Elon Musk on Jeff Bezos

The business rivalry between Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos is quite well known. Earlier, Elon won the battle for moon supremacy with Jeff.

Jeff then sued to overturn a decision by NASA to award SpaceX the sole contract to build a lunar lander which halted the program.

Later, SpaceX planned to launch more Starlink satellites, and Jeff complained to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) about the aerospace company’s plans.

Elon replied on Twitter that Bezos has retired to pursue a full-time job filing lawsuits against SpaceX.

On Tuesday, at the Code Conference 2021, Elon Musk had shared a message for Jeff Bezos. He said, “You cannot sue your way to the Moon, no matter how good your lawyers are.”

Kara Swisher asked Musk about Bezos’ lawsuit which blocked a contract that NASA gave to SpaceX to develop a lunar lander.

Swisher asked Musk if he has spoken to Bezos about the legal fights. Musk replied that he hasn’t discussed it verbally. However, he admitted that he has talked about it in subtweets.

Later, Kara asked Elon about the suborbital flights that Jeff and Richard Branson recently took with their own companies. Musk said that it was good that they were spending money on the advancement of space. He added that the suborbital is just a step in the direction of orbit.

Elon Musk on U.S. President Joe Biden

Earlier, Elon Musk had mocked Joe Biden for not acknowledging SpaceX’s, historic, all-civilian mission to orbit, Inspiration4.

One of Musk’s followers had asked him on Twitter that why Biden didn’t acknowledge SpaceX’s mission. Musk replied that he is still sleeping.

Now, at the Code Conference, the SpaceX CEO once again hit out at the Biden administration. Elon Musk said that Joe Biden and his administration are biased against his company.

Musk said that Biden didn’t mention Tesla once and praised GM and Ford for leading the EV Russian revolution.

Last month, the Biden administration had invited auto executives to the White House to discuss the shared goal of increasing the production of electric vehicles. They invited top officials from Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis. However, they didn’t invite Tesla which is the largest electric vehicles maker in the world.

There are no unions in Tesla and Biden advocates for unions. Thus, this could be a potential reason as to why they didn’t invite Tesla. Elon said that the Biden administration seems to be controlled by the unions.

He dubbed the Biden administration as ‘not the friendliest’ and said he’d prefer to see a more centrist president.

Musk also joked about the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He said that it should be called the “Shortseller Enrichment Commission.”

Elon Musk also said that he would not want to be president at all.
