Dr Disrespect Praises Sledgehammer Games During The CoD Showcase

During the Call of Duty: Vanguard showcase at Gamescom, Dr Disrespect praised Sledgehammer Games and their future release.

Gamescom, the world’s largest yearly gaming event showcases a wide variety of titles. From the latest Call of Duty to Devolver Digital’s newest indie release, the event covers just about every game option someone would be interested in.

Sledgehammer Games developers put together a showcase of Call of Duty: Vanguard gameplay for the event. The Two Time shared his opinion on games including Halo: Infinite, Vanguard, and a few other lesser-known titles.

When Gamescom was interviewing two employees of Sledgehammer Games, Doc praised the sound engineering. Once the showcase video began to show what looked like a WW2 version of downtown Verdansk, Doc perked up and said: “Wait, is this a little bit of… is this a glimpse of Warzone?”

Doc said that the details in the vista in the background were “pretty good”. During the video, a shootout began in front of a building and Doc cried “WARZONE!!”

The Two Time talked about the quality of the cutscene. He said that the BR he saw was the one he was looking forward to. He added that Sledgehammer Games is knocking it out of the park.

Although he praised the Call of Duty: Vanguard showcase, previously, he had slammed the Call of Duty: Vanguard Reveal Event for being “weak.”

Dr Disrespect’s reaction after the trailer was to ask if there was another step. It became clear that this was all the event had to offer. He went on to joke about having been blown out of the water by the teaser.

He hoped that whoever worked on the reveal is fully involved in the brand new map. Then he explained that he would’ve preferred a session in Vanguard at the end of the event rather than just a trailer. However, he mentioned that he was looking forward to it. Call of Duty: Vanguard releases on November 5, 2021.
