CSGO star Timothy ‘autimatic’ Ta has departed from CSGO to rejoin his former Cloud9 teammate Tyler ‘Skadoodle’ Latham, but on T1’s Valorant roster.
Autimatic Joins T1 Valorant
T1 announced that autimatic is the latest member to join their Valorant roster, however, details about who the 24-year-old will replace on the team are still scarce. At the time of signing, T1 still have Skadoodle, Braxton ‘brax’ Pierce, Keven ‘AZK’ Larivière, Sam ‘DaZeD’ Marine, and Ha ‘Spyder’ Jung-woo listed on their roster.
Hawk-eyed fans noticed that AZK or brax were not present in the org’s announcement video. Both autimatic and Skadoodle were on the 2018 Cloud9 CSGO team that captured North America’s first and only Major.
Autimatic Leaves CS:GO
Much to the chagrin of Valve’s tier-one e-sport, they lost another big North American name with autimatic now representing T1 in Valorant. Touted as one of the last premier NA talents, not on Evil Geniuses or Team Liquid, autimatic’s decision to retires comes amid rumors suggesting that he is planning to create a team featuring Robin ‘flusha’ Rönnquist and Miikka ‘suNny’ Kemppi.
Excited to work with everyone on the team! I appreciate everyone who supported me throughout my time in CS and I hope you’ll continue to support me in this new chapter! https://t.co/j8m8B86IGF

His last trophy was with Gen.G at the DeamHack Open Anaheim 2020, where they won $50,000 for overcoming FURIA. He was HLTV’s 17th best player back in 2018.
T1 did not qualify at the Valorant Champions Tour Challengers 1 and were placed 9th -16th following their loss to AndBox 1-2. The org will have another opportunity to qualify at Challengers 2 on Feb. 10.
