Amouranth Reveals Why She Bought A Gas Station

Eminent streamer Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa now owns a gas station. To explain the reason for the purchase, she set a challenge which was successfully completed.

Amouranth is one of the most successful streamers on Twitch. Earlier, she would stream in the ‘Just Chatting’ category, wherein she gained fame.

Recently, Twitch introduced a new category named ‘Animals, Aquariums, and Zoos’ and surprisingly she topped this category as well.

The content creator also has a plethora of followers on OnlyFans and YouTube. She is estimated to have a net worth of around $2-3 million, according to a report by Sports Keeda.

Amouranth Purchases A Gas Station

Recently, Amouranth has invested a portion of her wealth in a gas station. She is now the owner of a filling station. She mentioned in her tweet that if her tweet gets 300 likes, she would reveal the reason for the purchase.

When the tweet was short of 47 likes, she said that it would be dumb for her to buy a gas station and run it herself. Thus, she decided to buy it and lease it to a publicly-traded company.

Later the tweet surpassed the 300 likes mark and Amouranth explained the reason for the purchase in a Twitter thread.

Amouranth Shells Out A Lot Of Money To Buy The Filling Station

She invested $1 million and borrowed $3 million to purchase the filling station for $4 million.

She explained that she will take an accelerated depreciation charge of approximately $3 million.

$3,000,000 * 0.37  (marginal tax rate) = $1,110,000

Thus, she will owe $1,110,000 less in income tax.

Amouranth mentioned that she invested $1,000,000 to buy the gas station and now she owes $1,110,000 less in taxes for the calendar year. The gas station will generate a revenue of $85,000/year in rental/lease income.

However, she said that she will not own the gas station forever. She will likely sell and roll capital gains forward.
