There are rumors about the Xiaomi’s Redmi 9 series to include devices such as Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, Redmi 9C, and Redmi 9C NFC edition. Among these, the Chinese firm has already launched the Redmi 9 in multiple markets including Spain, Malaysia, and China.
The Redmi 9A was recently seen at certification platforms such as China’s 3C and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S, and the key specs of the device were unveiled by the Xiaomi Philippines website.
These appearances suggested that the Redmi 9A will be soon launching. Today Xiaomi Malaysia came on its Facebook page to confirm that not only the Redmi 9A but also the Redmi 9C will be made official on June 30.
The Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C will come with a big battery and a big display and these are the major highlights of the devices, Xiaomi Malaysia claims. The image also shows that these phones will feature teardrop notch displays. The competitor phone Realme C11 will be also announced on the same date in markets like Malaysia and Indonesia.
By the end of May, a well-known tipster had unveiled the key specs of the Redmi 9 series. According to the leaks, the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C will feature a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panels supported by an HD+ resolution and 5,000mAh batteries.
Both of the devices are expected to come with some common features such as a rear-facing fingerprint reader, a 5-megapixel selfie camera, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, a microSD card slot, and fast charging support.
The Redmi 9A is suggested to be equipped with Helio G25 chipset. The SoC could be paired with 3 GB of RAM. The handset could be offering you an internal storage of 32 GB. It may come with a 13-megapixel main camera on its back.
The Redmi 9C is rumored to exist in two versions. One is said to feature an NFC chip and the other one lacks support for it. The Redmi 9C NFC edition is said to feature a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system whereas the devices without NFC edition may have a 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system.
Both Redmi 9C variants are likely to be fueled by the Helio G35 SoC and 3 GB of RAM. The handset may come with a 64 GB built-in storage. it is not clear whether Malaysia will be receiving both variants of the Redmi 9C.
