As a part of the Intel Project Athena program, Acer has launched its latest Chromebook Spin 71, Compared to the previous generation Spin 13 Chromebook, the latest device comes with a better look, feel, and design.
The laptop has a sturdy aluminum chassis that can survive drops from up to 48 inches and withstand up to 132 pounds of force, the company claims. You can easily rotate the laptop to a 360-degree angle without any worries, the device weighs 3.02 pounds.
Powered by the latest 10th generation Intel processors, the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 is packed with up to 16GB (DDR4) RAM and 256GB SSD. Coming to the display, it comes with a 13.5-inch screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio and 2256 x 1504 pixels resolution. The screen has a coating of Gorilla Glass on top.
As per reports, the device’s keyboard has good travel and decent spacing. In terms of connectivity, the laptop has a pair of USB Type-C ports, Bluetooth 5, a USB port, a microSD-card reader, an HDMI port, and a dual-band Wi-Fi 6.
According to the company, it will last for up to 10 hours on a single charge. Apart from the Chromebook Spin 713, the company has also announced Acer Spin 311 Chromebook that features an 11.6-inch display and this one is casual users and students. The laptop comes powered by MediaTek‘s MT8183 octa-core processor.

Coming to the pricing of the devices, the Chromebook Spin 713 starts at $629 and will be available for purchase in North America from next month. On the other hand, the Enterprise Chromebook Spin 713 will be available from August for a starting price of $1,099. The budget Chromebook Spin 311 starts at $259 and will be up for sale from July.
