Game developers fancy drawing inspiration from real-life people rather than featuring a randomly drawn character in the video game. Sometimes these characters are not just based on actors and actress they are also inspired by real-life political or historical figures. The person who rented a warehouse to the president of Nintendo back in the 1970s and a return favor they decide to name the main character Mario.

Officer Tenpenny: Rafael Perez

Tenpenny is a hard-hearted corrupt police officer who used threat and blackmail people to get CJ through his plans and has no issue raising the guy for shooting a cop Tenpenny actually took out.

Tenpenny’s story was based on Rafael Perez, an LAPD officer who was arrested for a lot of corruption and for being involved in many other crimes. Perez’s story was also showcased by Denzel Washington in Training Day.

Ellen Grace Philpotts-Page started her career from various television shows including ReGenesis and Gaycation, later even made her debut in the film industry with Pit Pony.

Balrog: Mike Tyson

Tyson is also a lot involved in video games such as inspiring the final boss of the original NES Punch-Out. Recently, it was disclosed that the Street Fighter II character Balrog is based on Mike Tyson. 

Balrog made his first appearance in Street Fighter II that is a disgraced boxer and works for M. Bison’s Shadaloo organization.

Liu Kang: Bruce Lee

Liu Kang comes with the same black pants that the icon of martial arts used to wear and inspired the same loud yells. The resemblance was even stronger in the sequels.

Niko Bellic: Vladimir Mashkov

The game developers have designed the character taking Russian actor Vladamir Mashkov for reference. The actor has appeared in several films including Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Behind Enemy Lines. Rockstar Games had requested Mashkov to lend Niko his voice, but the actor turned down.
