Xiaomi Mi 9T Malaysia Release Date, Specs and Price Confirmed

The Redmi K20 smartphone will be up for grabs out China bearing the Mi 9T moniker. Following its launch in Europe, Xiaomi has now launched the phone in Malaysia.

In terms of specs, the Xiaomi Mi 9T sports a mammoth 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Aside from that, it features the latest 7th generation in-display fingerprint reader for added security.

Moreover, the phone packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 octa-core processor, paired with 6GB of RAM under the hood. It offers two options including 64GB and 128GB. You can expand its storage capacity via a microSD card so that you have ample space for saving your favorite multimedia content.

On the photography front, the Xiaomi Mi 9T houses three rear-mounted cameras comprising a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 13MP secondary sensor, and an 8MP tertiary sensor. Up front, there’s a 20MP selfie camera equipped with a pop-up mechanism for unparalleled selfies and video chatting.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T runs MIUI 10 custom user interface based on Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box. The phone draws its juices from a robust 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.

The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model of the Xiaomi Mi 9T smartphone will carry a RM1,199 (about $290) price tag in Malaysia, while the other variant featuring 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM will set you back RM1,399 (about $340).

The 64GB variant is slated to hit the Malaysian store shelves on June 25 through Lazada. The slightly larger 128GB storage variant, on the other hand, will go up for sale in the country from June 28 via authorized Mi Stores.

The phone will be available in the Philippines on June 24 through Lazada. There’s no word regarding the price tag it will carry. Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones in India in July; however, the Chinese electronics giant has not confirmed the exact launch date.
